No. Razorpay onboards businesses registered in India and settles payments in INR. If your restaurant is outside India, look at Stripe, Square or the other free gateways in the RestroPress library instead.

Razorpay does not require it, because card and UPI details are entered in the Razorpay pop-up rather than on your page. We still recommend SSL for your whole site so customers see a secure connection throughout the order.

Whatever your Razorpay account has enabled: UPI and BHIM, Visa, Mastercard, RuPay and Amex cards, more than 50 net banking options and 9 wallets including Paytm, PhonePe and Amazon Pay. The extension does not restrict methods; you enable or disable them from your Razorpay dashboard.

No third-party page is involved. When the customer clicks Place Order, RestroPress records the order and opens the Razorpay Checkout pop-up on a payment page on your own domain. Once the customer pays, the browser returns to your success page, the extension captures the payment through the Razorpay API, saves the Razorpay Transaction ID in the order notes and marks the order paid. If the customer closes the pop-up, the order is recorded as failed and they are returned to checkout.

Yes, through your keys. Razorpay issues separate test and live API keys, and the extension runs in whichever mode the keys you enter belong to. There is no separate sandbox checkbox, so put your test Key Id and Key Secret in the RazorPay settings, place a few orders, then replace them with your live keys.

Not from the RestroPress order screen. Refunds are issued from your Razorpay Dashboard. The extension stores the Razorpay Transaction ID in the order notes so you can find the payment quickly.

No. The order is confirmed when the customer returns from the pop-up and the extension captures the payment via the Razorpay API. If a customer pays but closes the browser before returning, check the payment in your Razorpay Dashboard and update the order manually.
